Home of African Elephants
Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
If you’re looking for that iconic safari photograph of long-tusked African elephants or a journey of giraffes on dry Savannah plains with Africa’s tallest mountain as a backdrop, Amboseli is the place to snap it!

After a quick meet and greet, proceed to board the tour vehicle and waste no time in departing to one of Kenya’s most beautiful and iconic national parks, Amboseli National Park. Your drive will cover around 215 km hence it will take approximately four to four and a half hours to arrive at your destination.

Later by 3:30 PM, you shall set out for your afternoon game drive in search of some amazing animals. This will be a very exciting time for you and you may find something very special. Evening game drives are a classic reminder of the beauty Amboseli National Park holds. Your evening exploration of the park is brief but in no way lacking, for predators and prey alike congregate in the grasslands in search of the day’s final meal.
By 6:00 PM, when the sun begins to set, enjoy the spectacular colors of the African sky, with the sounds of the wilderness surrounding you. Head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Relax, rejuvenate and prepare for the next day that packs in a lot of adventure.
DAY 2: FULL DAY GAME DRIVE IN AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK WITH A PICNIC LUNCH.
The second day of your safari is wholly dedicated to game drive. The day starts with a sumptuous breakfast at 7:00 AM. Without wasting time you are in the wild partaking in the exciting morning game drive. As always, sunrise, wildlife and the striking scenery make every moment of early morning game drive picture perfect. It is also important to mention that no two game drives are the same since animals are always moving.
So much so like the evening game drives, morning game drives are an overflow of wildlife,
birds and unique ambiences. Sunrise mainly makes this one a little more memorable. Your
exclusive open roof top tour van traverses the breathtaking panorama, exposing you to varieties of wildlife and beautiful vegetation. You will get to learn so much more from our professional driver guide.
This morning drive is the most rewarding game drives in Amboseli since you will find most
animals very active and fresh looking for food of the day in open savannah grassland. After the sun gets hot most animals go near river banks to quench their thirst and cool themselves while the cats go in hidden areas to relax and rest.
Feel free to ask your guide to stop for you to take better photos or a video of something
interesting. If you are a bird watcher, the Masai Mara has over 400 species of birds. Be sure to carry your binoculars for this.
You will span far and wide into the plain grassland, heading east to the sandy thickets searching for the elephants.
Wildlife and all that jazz later, you unwind by taking your picnic lunch in the observation as directed by your guide.
Your afternoon game drive continues shortly after lunch. This soul stirring spectacle involves
several birds, Impalas, hyenas and many other animals who are more than eager to bloody the
savannah.
The drive will span till evening when you can take advantage of the sunset and the tranquil
ambience to take some photos.
By 4:00 PM, you will drive slowly in the direction of your lodge. Enjoy the fullness of the
park as the animals come out again to graze for dinner. Dinner is yet another time to reminisce on a great day you just had. After dinner, you shall proceed for your overnight stay.
EXTRA ACTIVITIES IN AMBOSELI AT AN ADDITIONAL COST
HOT-AIR BALLOON SAFARI
For a truly unique perspective, the hot-air balloon safaris in Amboseli are unbeatable.
Floating gently above the rolling grasslands and winding rivers, these safaris provide a bird’s
eye view of the vastness and beauty of the Amboseli. This serene experience, often at sunrise,
presents the park in a different light, highlighting why Amboseli is famous for its sweeping
Mt. Kilimanjaro views and wildlife. The flight ends with a delicious champagne breakfast
taken right at the heart of the wild, then you are transferred back to your lodge.
AMBOSELI CULTURAL VILLAGE VISIT
No visit to the Amboseli is complete without experiencing the rich culture of the Masaai people. Cultural visits offer a glimpse into these semi-nomadic people’s traditional way of life, known for their distinctive customs, dress, and relationship with the land. By engaging with them, visitors gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the human-nature bond, a core element of why the Masaai culture is famous.
Much as we love the eye catching art work, exciting dances and story telling that come with
the Maasai, their marveling yet straight forward architecture takes the cake. This visit to a
Maasai village is a chance to interact with them and get a glimpse into their culture, unique
way of life and see first-hand some of their customs and practices. Bring your dancing shoes with you because there’s no way you are leaving here before breaking a leg
DAY 3: DEPARTURE
This is the last day of your Amboseli trip. By now you have probably seen much of what makes Amboseli National Park a world winning park. Arise and shine for an early morning breakfast at 7:30 AM then proceed to check out by 9:00 AM. You shall leave Amboseli and embark on your transformative journey back to Nairobi.
Carrying with you cherished memories of adventure and relaxation. Reflect on the wonders you’ve experienced and the bonds you have formed during this short but extra ordinary
END OF SAFARI
