NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK AND GIRAFFE CENTRE DAY TRIP
Nestled on the outskirts of Kenya’s vibrant capital, Nairobi National Park offers a sanctuary for an impressive array of wildlife amidst stunning landscapes. There is nowhere else in the world where such a collection of wilderness and wildlife sits so adjacently to a major city. Only 6.4 km separate the center of the city from the wildlife in the reserve.
The national park encompasses an area of 45.26 square miles (117.2 sq km) and was the first national park established in Kenya. Though smaller than most Kenyan and other African national parks, it is remarkably diverse in habitats. Open plains, grasslands, scattered acacia trees, highland forest, rocky gorges, and dense woodland all coexist here, supporting a wide variety of mammals and bird species.
Predators such as lions roam the savanna alongside buffalo, black rhino, baboon, eland, gazelle, hartebeest, hippopotamus, impala, and giraffe. Visitors can expect to encounter many of these species during their trip.
